If you come to Takamatsu, one thing you have to try is the prefecture special, which is Udon. There is so many places here, which takes pride in hand making the Udon, and often their also have their own recipe sauce!
It is a very filling and cheap lunch or dinner option, which prices all the way down to ¥200yen. Don’t let the price fool you though, it is very delicious nonetheless.
There are so many different types to be found as well – Curry Udon, Spicy Udon, Tempura Udon, and many more.
If you are not that confident in your Japanese “Shinpei Udon” at the Tamachi market, has both Japanese and English staff and menus.
If you are looking for a cheap place to eat “Chikusei Main Udon” is really good. They are known for their fried eggs, which are so good!
