Hello everyone, my name is Yuki, and I will be staying at Traditinal Apartment for two weeks as a volunteer.

I am based in Tokyo, so I came to Takamatsu on vacation.

The reason I chose Takamatsu this time was not because there was a particular place I wanted to visit or a place I had fond memories of, but simply because I wanted to stay at Traditional Apartment.

The interior design is very nice and atmosphere here is cozy, I tend to spend a lot of time at the guesthouse, but of course I’m also interested in sightseeing the surrounding islands.

I had a day off yesterday, so I took a day trip to Shodoshima, which is only an hour away by ferry from Takamatsu.



When I go on a trip, I rarely do any preliminary research, and I like to find good unknown spots where few tourists come.
I’d like to introduce an nice cafe I found while walking aroud the streets.

TODAY IS THE DAY is a cafe along Olive Beach, about a five-minute walk from Olive Park.


The fluffy pancakes served with lemon olive oil are the best!


Since many of the tourist spots in Shodoshima are currently closed due to the spread of the coronavirus, why not spend some time relaxing at this cafe while looking out at the sea when you visit Shodoshima?

I’ll post more good unknow spots I would find around Takamatsu!
